I started photography in 2002 and established my photography business in 2004. Much of my early work included event coverage in my community. I am on the staff of the Greenbelt News Review, and occasionally contribute to the Gazette. Many of my photographs are showcased on the Greenbelt Community Gallery. Recently my photographic energy is in exploring contemporary photography, photojournalism, including sports such as boxing and dog agility, portraits, nature, and wildlife.

I transitioned to digital in the fall of 2005, and without the expense of developing film and better lenses started working with nature photography, which has led me into abstract fine art photography.

While waiting patiently for a heron to wake up or the light to be a certain way, I found I was looking around and began to be drawn to the patterns of the environment around me. Recently I have been photographing nature abstractly. Capturing how an object isolated from the distraction of its environment reveals a dynamic simplicity of form.
